Handling The Haters: 8 Simple Keys That Work For All

Hater is a commonly used word nowadays. Personally, I think that it is actually overused. People want to label everyone who disagrees with them as a “hater”. What does that word mean? I found two definitions in the dictionary: a formal one and an informal one.
Formal: A person who dislikes a specified person or thing e.g. “a man hater“.
Informal: negative or critical person e.g. “she found it difficult to cope with haters“.
In this post, I will be referring to the latter […]

Here is a picture of me, yesterday.

No make up. No fancy hair. No fancy glasses. Sweatpants. Old T-shirt. Working out. One hour every day, five days a week.

Do You Think Like This?

Welcome back to Balance with Dr Shola!
As a life coach, I constantly meet people with mindsets that do not serve them! Their very thoughts hamper their life progress.

I heard this preached as a sermon by a great woman of God Pastor Mayowa Ijisesan. She has a very practical, balanced, easy-to-relate-to approach to the gospel and life. This is the “Shola paraphrase” of what she said-
What type of thinker are you?
Your thoughts govern your life and what you allow your […]

Do not allow yourself to  “binge” on negative thoughts. Stop them, before they become a permanent fixture.
Work on your stress management techniques. Do not let stress the better of you
Refuse to be defined by your tragedies. Grief […]
